I hate getting behind on my posts. Yesterday was so busy that there was never any time to sit down and get it typed out. Busy is a good thing, I dont mind busy! I just need to learn to manage my little bit of not busy time better :)
I dont remember what I did thursday night, oh yeah, everyone left and I had the house all to myself for a few hours. It was fantastic! Doesnt happen very often but I sure try to take advantage of it when it does now. I do remember a time when I was pretty much always alone and looked forward to doing something but life, as it always does, changes scenery and difficulty down the road! Now it is constant stimulation for this introvert and quiet time is treasured!
Got up at 3:50 and headed off to the gym.

As I said at the beginning, it was a very busy day. Our surgery schedule wasnt more than 6 or 8 but there were a ton of walk ins and a few extra surgeries that ended up coming in. It was after 1 when we finished with the last one which was an exploratory on a cat with chronic vomiting. All I could find was an odd spot on the outside of the stomach which makes me wonder if there is not a tumor growing on the other side. The owner didnt want super invasive surgery but just wanted me to take a look around and see if there was anything obvious.
After this was a walk in of a dog that had been attacked by two other dogs. Its face was very tore up but came together pretty well.
The afternoon was busy and it was all I could do to get out in time to make it to the kids first swim meet. Emma is awesome and swam in every event except for the 100m freestyle because of the length and the 100m medley. Zac did the breaststroke and freestyle. I will tell you, I dont know how anyone does the butterfly!

Zac and the breaststroke.
It took a dreadfully long long time! And the bleachers are dreadfully uncomfortable but we now know what to expect for the next one.
Slept good last night and spent most of today with my dear friend Devri as she trimmed my hair and did my nails and toes. I am so very grateful to her for putting up with me and taking such good care of me and making me look good :)
After that it was home to watch the Belmont. No surprise that California Chrome didnt win. Just too hard for a tired horse to compete against fresh ones. I have no doubt that if everyone had run all three races, he would have won easy!
The dogs waiting at the top of the stairs. The little dogs will come down the stairs but none of the big dogs will do it so they sit at the top and wait :)
