What an incredibly crazy busy day!  Whew!

Saturday was pretty much spent doing nothing but sitting on the couch and resting.  It was great and I needed it!  There was even about 2 hours of just me and the dogs and it was awesome!

I dont get much alone time these days and thats ok but when I do, I sure enjoy it!

Sunday was church and then Devri did my nails.  We had an emergency c section but I would rather do it at 6pm at night then in the middle of the night or have it crowd my morning schedule.

We also had another heat stroke dog.  A bulldog that the owner leave outside all the time and then had taken to run and it was heat stroking bad.  Its temp was 106 when it came in and it was purple.  We got a trachea tube in him and fluids started and today he was back to normal.  He was a lucky dog because I wasnt sure he was going to make it!

Rolled out of bed at 3:50 and headed out the door about 4:20.  I am feeling better but still a bit slow and foggy headed :)

We had a very busy surgery schedule and a few things added to it and a ton of walk ins.  Our last surgery was an abdominal exploratory on a dog that had had chronic weightloss.  It was a young dog and the owners had limited money and we had seen it previously but they had only wanted to try to deworm it.  This time they let us xray and do blood work and there was something in the stomach so we opened it up.

When the owner was looking at the xray he said it was Thomas the train and sure enough, it was, or at least part of Thomas and a bunch of other random stuff.  We didnt finish with surgeries until 1:30 and there was a full and crazy appointment schedule all afternoon.  It is after 5 and I am just now getting this done.  I did manage to complete my CE course today and take my quiz so I am happy about that. :)
