The weekend was good.  I had a massage on saturday and a few emergencies and sunday as church and a few emergencies and both nights I got to bed early.  Ahhhhhhh life is good!!  Life is always good, it is a mind set, it is a choice!  I choose to have a great life regardless of the circumstances because good is better than bad!! :)

Up this morning a minute before 4 :)  and was out the door a bit after 5.

squats explosive

I decided while setting things up this morning that I needed to stop being consumed with the numbers.  Not that the numbers arent important, but I am 42 years old, well almost, and I my days of increasing strength by any huge amount are pretty much over so I need to focus on the joy of actually lifting rather than the frustration of not obtaining some random number that I picked out 20+ years ago.  If I enjoy the process, then regardless of the numbers, it is still fun.

I tried very hard to keep everything explosive but the last few sets werent very explosive.  Something to work on!

It has been awhile since I have done pause squats and it was recommended to me by a youtube viewer to help me get to parallel and out!  I tell you, I have watched lots of pause squat videos and I guarantee you, most of them arent pausing for as long as they think they are because it feels like an eternity just sitting there for 3 secs!!

these felt way more stable today.  I still looked stupid but at least I was wobbling back and forth everywhere!

I bought an old truck awhile ago so that we could have a beater around the clinic for removing the horse corral stuff and tree branches etc.  I decided today to stop by MVD and get the title, bad decision.  It wasnt that there was very many people in front of me it just took forever for they employees to get anything accomplished.  I understand they are on their own time and they have nothing else to do but be there all day but UGHHHHH it is hard to just sit there while they are wandering around and chatting like there is nobody waiting.  It has made me more aware of how myself and my employees come off to the clients in the waiting room.

When I finally got to the clinic at 8:30 the surgery board was full and right before I got to the first one a good client came in and was struggling with the decision to euthanize their old Pyrenees.  It took over an hour and by that time there was another client here with an older boxer that was going through the same decision process so there was more time spent in there with her and then on the phone with her husband.  I dont mind, I want people to feel like they are making the best decision for their beloved family member.  It did put us way behind on our surgery schedule and it was almost 1 before we finished with the last cat and I ran home to eat real fast and then back to the clinic for appointments.

The afternoon has been busy busy busy.  It is 4:30 now and the lobby is still packed with people.  Busy is good.  :)
