The Cube cycle 3 wave 2 week 1 – deads heavy

I could really go for an afternoon nap today.  I dont know why it is that some days just seem like one should spend the afternoon being lazy. :)  And I am irritable today so a nap would protect me from energy sucking people.  (if you arent an introvert, you wont understand.)

Yesterday was off from the gym day and I stayed in bed a bit and then it was up and on with the rat race of life.   Things were the usual at the clinic and the day ended with an equine castration and then Devri did my fingernails.  The blue ones had stayed on for an amazing 3 weeks and I had ripped most of them off that were lifting on the way home from the races sunday and then the remaining ones on tuesday.  I had some sore fingernails and I think Devri just felt sorry for me so she brought in her nail stuff and we did some simple nails so I wouldnt have to be seen in public all naked nailed :)

Slept alright and up early thanks to a phone call about something that was NOT an emergency.

Today definitely feels like a whole week rolled into one day.  I wish it was friday because, well, fridays are just supposed to be good or at least better, right?

First surgery today was a cat that had eaten some nerf darts.  The owner said it had thrown up an end and a bunch of the foamy stuff but was afraid it still had more in there because it was not eating and not doing well.   She wanted it spayed so we opened her up and sure enough, there was another end that was stuck in the duodenum.  She was very dehydrated so I am hoping now with some fluids and no more foreign body she will turn around and be able to go home tomorrow.

Our last surgery was a cystotomy.  A little pomeranian that had come in a few weeks ago for bloody urine and had a stone in the bladder.  The owner didnt want to see if it would dissolve but just wanted it out so out we took it.  I think this is honestly the first time I have ever seen a stone like this one.

I have to get because the lobby is standing room only and nobody has been back to tell me what is next so I had best go light some fires!
