One would think that after nine days I would be awesome in the gym but alas, I sucked! But its ok, I know one looses strength when they deload completely, I expect it but that doesnt mean I have to like it
So friday the 6th was an incredibly busy crazy day and amazingly enough we made it out of town by 6 and headed off to Phoenix. We arrive and I cant find my drivers license. I didnt remember taking it out of my purse and I had just used it the previous weekend in Tucson to make credit card purchases. As Mary and I were talking she remembers that she took it to make copies for an insurance thing and left it on the copy machine. Thankfully David was home and found it and he met Mary in Globe to make the exchange while Devri fixed my broke fingernail and did my toes. I felt terrible sending Mary alone but she made it there and back in record breaking time and we all got about 3 hours sleep and were up and out the door to head to the airport at 5 am.
Thankfully we did because we were scheduled to go through Dallas/Ft Worth and it was closed due to the ice storm. We waited in line for about 2 hours to get rerouted on another airline but I was so thankful that it was in the same terminal and we still got into Nashville that day just a few hours later than planned.
The rest of the time in Nashville was exhausting and I am glad that it is over and we made it home. I did purchase an endoscope and also a new ultrasound which I am very very happy about.
We got home wednesday about 5 and there were a few surgeries there waiting so Bama stayed and we got them done and the next two days were jam packed but that is pretty much the norm these days.
There was a cat that had come in earlier in the week with two broken back legs. The owner actually opted to do surgery on both of them and so it was on the table after regular surgeries on thursday. I place an IM pin in the one leg and removed the broken off head and neck of the femur on the other leg. The cat was doing very well when it left the next day.
The pin repair is over corrected to allow for rotational stability. It was not the ideal type of fixation for this fracture but the owners had limited funds and so we tried to do what they could afford.
Friday at the end of a very long day we had a dog come in that had eaten rocks and we had to do emergency surgery on him to remove them. Two of them were in the stomach and though large not really causing any issues. The problem was one that was a bit smaller that had made it into the small intestine and was stuck. The bowel was very unhappy and I thought for a moment I might have to do an end to end anastamosis but once the rock was removed the bowel started becoming more happy and all went well and he went home today very happy and bouncy.
It is the small oblong rock that was causing all the problems.
The weekend was uneventful and it was nice to not have to run around all crazy. We watched the new Hobbit movie on saturday. I liked it better than the first one. Sunday was church and nothing much else.
Got out of bed a bit before 4 am and headed out the door about 5:15.

Today has been very very busy. Not that I expected anything less but generally we are a bit more organized. It was 10 am and we only had 2 of the 9 surgeries done. I took a few minutes to go home and eat the lunch that Sunki prepared because she gets her feelings hurt if I dont. The afternoon has been non stop and I am ready to go home and go to bed.
Weight this morning was down to 163.8#. Heck I havent weighed that since before Emma was born. The goal is to get down to 161# so only 2# away.
