5/3/1 cycle 3 week 3 – squats

I cant believe that the month of July is almost over already!!  The best thing about it is that the monchers go back to school soon.  That will be a good thing although they are both dreading it.  I need to put them to work during the summer so they will want to go back to school instead of staying home and doing fun stuff!

Saturday I got up and changed Charlies bandage and then headed to the gym for some hammies.  I didnt want to go workout but I just couldnt come up with any really good excuse not to.

 

hamstrings

this was the most I have ever stiff legged deadlifted before but only because I have never really thought of actually doing them heavy.

seated leg curls

*95# for 4 sets of 12

and that was that for my saturday workout this week.

 

I then headed to walmart and safeway and got everything I needed for Emmas birthday party.   Her birthday was thursday but one cant have a true birthday party on a weekday plus it was just all us boring people from work and her dads family that were coming so we needed it to be on a weekend :)

I got her an above ground pool.  It isnt huge but it is big enough for her and Zac to play in and be safe.  Depending on how it goes the next year or two I am considering putting in a regular pool but only if they use this one.    It as a big hit with the kids so far.

They swam for awhile why we adults ate and then they came in and we did cake and presents and the rest of the stuff and everybody was gone before 6 which was awesome!

I made her two butterfly cakes.

Chocolate!  I suck at decorating, it is hard work.

And a strawberry one!  I put fondant on this one, my first time, its hard.  David decorated it which is why it actually looks ok. :)

Sunday was church and rest.  That is the best kind of day!

Got to bed around 9 and got up at 4:30 and out the door before 6.

nothing spectacular but I at least feel like I am getting better depth.  I really concentrated on pushing my knees out and it is amazing what a difference that makes!

I was supposed to testify today in court as a witness for Devri’s sons custody hearing but apparently it got moved and nobody bothered to let anybody know so we had no surgeries scheduled for this morning so Devri did my nails instead.  They arent great but they are better than having the three missing ones like I did.

I left Charlies foot open to air out for the entire morning and I think it is looking better.

The afternoon is not too busy and it will probably take forever to get over with.
