5/3/1 cycle 2 week 2 – deads

It is the fourth of July!  And I am sure most people enjoyed a day off from everything but not me.  Not because it was anybody elses fault because as boss, I was the one that chose to be open for half the day and I was also the one who chose to go workout.  But I have to say that I knew the gym would be quiet and probably empty because of the a fore mentioned day.  And yesterday was off day and I wanted to go and workout!

Up and out of bed at 4:30 and out the door before 6.

Deads

photo(503)This was before I started my workout.  The down hair thing didnt last very long as it is so hot in the gym.   So why do I leave it down to begin with?  Because my dear husband told me he likes my hair down :)

and that was it for todays workout.  Deads take a bit of time to accomplish and by the time I was done with back it was past time to go.

I went home and showered again and since we were only going to be open until noon, I wore shorts and didnt do much with my hair.  So my husband comes in and looks at me and states that I looked like a “home girl!!”   Seriously?!  A “home girl?”   I have naturally curly hair and depending on the type of product I put in it and how much I brush it, it is either curly, wavy, or straight.  And since I had already blown it dry once for the day I just left it curly and didnt touch it with a comb after I put in my hair goop and so apparently I am a “home girl” :(

photo(508)Do I look like a “home girl?”

We only had a few surgeries today.  One of them was a little dog that had gotten missed yesterday, grrrrrrr!  Does not make me happy when that happens but not much can be done but to do it the next day.  The other one was a 4-H pig that had a little umbilical hernia.

I hate working on pigs because there is really no good way to restrain them and they are just looking for a reason to overheat and die!  Especially in Arizona where it is over 100 degrees when one is working on them!  Her temp was over 103 when we finished surgery but thanks to a shot of banamine and a cold surgery room floor she had dropped to 101 by the time they took her home.  Hopefully all will go well and she will be a winning pig in a few months.

Nothing planned for the rest of the day.  Ran to dreadmart and picked up a few things and going to bbq some steak for dinner and hopefully get to bed at a decent time.  Hopefully!
