Saturday morning it was up at 4:30 and out the door at 5:45 to head to Tucson for the horse races! I will say that I am not super excited about doing them. It is the first year that I have done the Tucson ones and the meet is 10 weekends long! It makes for no days off for a long time. There is a break after the first two weekends before the last 8 for superbowl weekend and I am going to try and rest all that I can! I am staying the night there and that helps because I can go to bed early and sleep until 6 and so I at least dont feel like I am getting behind on my sleep which is very important! I get very very crabby and short when I am deprived of my sleep!
The shed row as the sun is rising!
Waiting for the ponies to get to the gate!
A push and a shove to get loaded!
Zac and his friend the lizard.
The races all went smoothly and every horse kept its legs on and we were out of there at 5:30 sunday after injecting a few ankles and was home in bed by 9.
Got up at 4:30 on Monday morning and was headed to the gym before 6. I know that the no break working is going to take its toll on me as I already feel a bit weary but I am going to do my best to get as much rest as I can when I can.
