The Cube cycle 2 week 1 wave 3 – deads heavy

The end of the week is getting closer and closer.  Funny how that works!  Tuesday we were supposed to go and bangs vaccinate heifers in willcox but they called when we were headed that direction and said that the chute wasnt working.  Given that we didnt have that many surgeries scheduled on New Years day when they called later in the day saying it was working we told them that we would head over there early wednesday morning.

Everything went smoothly and Zac was the tagger.  The boys both have young boys of their own so they took very good care of Zac and held on to the head so he didnt get whacked.  It worked out great because it gave Zac something to do and I didnt have to do! :)

We got back to the clinic and did surgeries and the afternoon had filled up with appointments and everything went smoothly.  Since the next day was heavy deads I ate my cheat meal of two pieces of pizza for dinner but I also was bad and ate some green corn tamales for lunch :)  I am a horrible terrible diet client, or maybe not, they probably think, “keep eating bad and you will have to keep paying us to tell you what you should be eating!”

Up this morning before 4 and out the door a bit after 5.

We did the emergency surgery on Sunday and then monday he had a blood clot to his left lung and I didnt think he was going to make it but tuesday he started breathing better and wednesday he ate like a champ!  He was so excited to see his dad and I am very glad he got to go home!

We had a bazillion walkins and didnt get started on surgeries until 10:30 or 11 and didnt get done with the last one which was a rear leg amputation until 1:30!

The afternoon has been crazy crazy and crazy!!
