I am wore plum out this week so I apologize ahead of time for the lack luster posting.
So trying to think back on the week and I did my chest workout on wednesday after work because Emma had a dental appointment at 7 am and she was very concerned that I wouldnt be back from the gym in time so I figured I would just go wednesday night. And let me tell you, that sucked! I am very comfortable in my morning slot with the handful of 2-4″inch ROM guys but the evening youngsters that slam weights around and grunt and groan like little girls, I have a hard time handling them!
We were supposed to have a pretty easy day on Wednesday with some farm calls scheduled. We had had three of them but the one that needed 25 head of bucking stock bled cancelled so it made for an easy day, or what should have been an easy day!
First stop was Flemings TB Farm for a hernia repair and xrays.
kneeling and doing these surgeries bothers my back like crazy so I was glad it was only one!
I enjoy having the opportunity to do field surgery and help out so people can afford to have things done.
The other stop was just vaccines for horses and dogs and wasnt much of anything. We got back into town around noon and I was all excited because I thought I would be able to go to the gym then and miss the idiots but no, we had a mini horse come in that was having trouble having a baby.
The foal was breach and I couldnt pull its back legs around. I discussed with the owner that we would need to try an c section or put it to sleep because it would die if we did nothing. They agreed to the c section which I only offered because it was a mini and could go on the surgery table and have gas anesthesia!
I did have to get on a step stool to get up high enough!
The foal was deformed and had been dead for awhile as it was very stiff which would explain why I wasnt able to get its back leg around. I closed up the uterus and the momma and so far she is doing great!
After that we had a dog come in that we had done surgery on on friday and he had licked and messed with his incision so much that he had opened it up and had abdominal fat coming out of it. So yet another emergency surgery on the table. He then bloated post surgery and I had to anesthetize him again and pass a stomach tube.
After that we had a barbado sheep come up that had been attacked by a dog. The sheep was the girls best friend and it was a year and a half old and it lived in the house and showered with her and she took it to town like it was a dog. Crazy sometimes what people make into pets.
Bama thought it was awesome though!
I finally got done after 5! So much for an easy day! I didnt really want to go to the gym but I did.
