5 x 5 week 1 – legs

My eyelids feel so heavy!  I went tanning and it felt so good and I thought to myself, I could lay in here and sleep forever! :)

Some stupid google bot or spyder attached itself to one of my blogs and I had over 3900 hits in about 15 minutes!  So dang irritating because it really screws up my stats page for the next month!

Legs on the schedule today and given that it is a 5 x 5 program which is geared for strength development I figured I needed to stop being lazy and whiny and do leg press and squats on the same day!  I HATE squats because I suck at them but who cares, just do them!  Yep!  I did go with box squats, yes, the bench is too high but it was all that was available, and I need to remember to widen my stance more but they were alright.

Up at 4:30 and off to the gym before 6.

photo(176)One thing that a person needs to get their mind wrapped around early in the gym is that you have to do the stuff you hate and suck at in order to get the body you want!  It takes doing the things we dread the most and are the worst at to become the person that we desire to be!! NO EXCUSES!  Squats and leg press for this girl today!

We were the usual crazy busy all day.  I am just glad it is friday not that it really matters because I have to get up at 4:30 tomorrow morning and head to tucson to work the horse races all day but……………..
