Yes, I am going to whine just a little bit here right at first. I am running on empty in the energy/whatever makes one go department. And to make it worse I have an ulcer that has decided to flare up and my stomach is killing me! Not that it is preventing me from eating. I am a true glutton!
Today is day 23 in a row of working with no days off and there is 25 days left to go without a break. My choice as I am the one who agreed to do the horse races in Tucson and I will do it again next year because there just isnt anyone else to do it and those people are like family after all these years. But it is still exhausting!
So last week was deload week. It was a few weeks earlier than I had intended but I had to be out of town for most of last week and I knew that I would be worthless when I got back. Heck, I am still worthless this week and it showed greatly during my workout this morning!
Ok, so a few pics from last weeks horse races so that my blog is something other than whining
Typical county fair horse that doesnt want to load! And they are off!

The weather was great in Tucson and after the races on Sunday we headed up to Phoenix as I had to work as track vet at Turf Paradise for two days. Completely different way of doing things on a sort of real track. It used to be a good track but the current owner is not a friend to horse racing and it is very run down and the purses suck and really isnt any better than the county fairs. The turf is in terrible shape and they can only run one race on it a day. The back side is falling down and the people there are generally unhappy!
We drove around the backside in the golf cart quite a bit.

Floyd Campbell in the Silks room! One would never guess that Floyd was 61 years young! He is an amazing character and one of my favorite people on the race track. I have known him for over 12 years and I am so happy to see that he still has a place on the track and it fits him perfectly.
We had to drive home in blinding rain and swirling snow on Wednesday night. It was an exhausting drive! The rest of the week was extremely busy and I had to leave Saturday morning early to head back down to Tucson for the weekend races. It was cold and miserable and I came home more tired than when I left. Thankfully there were only 7 races both days and we were home about 6:30 on sunday night.
I was woke up before 4 but did not feel very rested. But one cant live life on how they feel so up and out of bed I got and headed off to the gym by 6.
So I did not have time or more like I did not take the time to figure up a new program but I did know that I wanted to go back to a 5 x 5 so I winged it today.

This morning was a very typical monday with way too much stuff to do! We finished with the last surgery after 12 and it has been pretty much non stop every since.
We have a horse coming up from willcox for hock injections and a horse from a rescue group that came in earlier with a bad laceration on its knee and two cows here with prolapses! Blah! Im tired and want to go bed and sleep for about 12 hours deeply!
